We offer martial arts, yoga, TaiChi, and Qigong. Please click around to find more out about the various styles of the arts we teach. In general, we are about health and longevity. By keeping our eye on basic principles, these practices can be done for a lifetime.
The style of martial arts is called Chayon-Ryu. Chayon-Ryu is based on the natural movements found within each of its parent styles - Chinese Chu'an Fa, Japanese Karate, Korean Taekwondo, Okinawa-Te, Judo/ Jujitsu, and Hapkido/ Aikido. Chayon -Ryu teaches natural body motion as the basis of all techniques in order to promote power, safety, health, and fitness.
The yoga is based in The Yoga You Need, which is a philosophy of using only movements that will help you live a long and painfree life. For example, we don’t need to do handstands. But we need to have balance, strength and flexibility to walk, lift things, and live an active life.
The Tai Chi and Qigong have a varied background, and the classes reflect that.
We also open our studio to other classes, which are held at different times during the month.
